U2 Adds Second Lisbon Concert After High Ticket Demand
The legendary rock band will perform two consecutive nights at the Estádio da Luz in May 2027 as part of their upcoming world tour.
Rock band U2 has added a second concert in Lisbon, Portugal, following exceptionally high demand for tickets to their upcoming tour. The newly announced performance is scheduled for May 28, 2027, at the Estádio da Luz, immediately following their initial show on May 27, 2027.
Live Nation Portugal confirmed the addition of the second date, noting that this performance will serve as the final opportunity for fans to catch the band during their stop in the country. The concerts are part of the group's global tour titled "The Greatest Show on Earth," which marks their first return to Portugal since their performances in September 2018.
The upcoming European leg of the tour will also bring the band to stadiums in cities such as Stockholm, Paris, Amsterdam, London, Berlin, and Milan. British alternative rock band Wolf Alice will join the tour as special guests for the opening act during the Lisbon dates.
Tickets for the newly added concert became available to the public following the initial sales launch. Pricing for the events in Lisbon spans ten distinct categories, ranging from upper-tier seating starting at 95 euros to exclusive Red Zone packages near the stage priced at 533 euros, with taxes included. Standing floor tickets are priced at 190 euros.
Promoters implemented purchase limits restricting buyers to a maximum of four tickets per person. Instructions for acquiring tickets required purchasers to register in advance and navigate through specific digital platforms, with organizers advising fans to maintain a single browser window to avoid technical errors during the high-traffic sale periods.
Purchased tickets are designated to be delivered digitally through a mobile application, with the operational QR codes activating only on the day of the event, up to four hours prior to the stadium doors opening.
The band's return to the live stage coincides with the upcoming release of their 16th studio album, titled "Carnaval de Luz," which is scheduled to debut on November 13, 2026. The album features the track "The Greatest Show on Earth," which shares its name with the international tour bringing the Irish musicians back to European stadiums.
