U2 Announces 2027 Concert at Lisbon's Estádio da Luz
Fans have several opportunities to secure tickets through exclusive pre-sales before the general sale begins in November.
The legendary rock band U2 is scheduled to return to Portugal for a highly anticipated performance on May 27, 2027. The concert, titled "Carnaval de Luz presents: The Greatest Show on Earth," will be held at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, drawing significant interest from fans across the region.
Prospective attendees have multiple avenues to purchase tickets, starting with two distinct pre-sale events. The first opportunity is reserved for Visa cardholders in the European Union and the United Kingdom. This pre-sale is scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., via the official Visa website. Organizers emphasize that while this provides early access, it does not guarantee ticket availability.
A second pre-sale event is being managed by Live Nation Portugal. To participate in this phase, which takes place on Thursday, November 5, between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., fans must complete a mandatory registration process. The deadline for this registration is Tuesday, November 3, at 1:00 p.m. Those who fail to register by this time will be ineligible to access this specific pre-sale window.
For those who do not secure tickets during the pre-sale periods, the general public sale is set to commence on Friday, November 6, at 10:00 a.m. through the official concert page on the Live Nation Portugal website. Experts advise that demand is expected to be high, and fans should prepare by ensuring they have a stable connection and avoiding multiple browser tabs to prevent technical errors during the checkout process.
Ticket purchases are subject to a limit of four tickets per person. Regarding logistics, tickets bought through MEO Blueticket will be issued exclusively in a digital format within the application associated with the buyer's account. There will be no physical tickets or printable PDF files. The QR code required for venue entry will be activated on the day of the concert, specifically four hours before the doors open to the public.
While the specific pricing and the seating chart for the Estádio da Luz have not yet been officially released, organizers are encouraging fans to act promptly to avoid disappointment. Confirmation emails for successful purchases may experience delays due to the anticipated volume of traffic on the ticketing platforms.
