Milan is preparing to welcome back the legendary Irish rock band U2, who have officially announced two concerts at the San Siro stadium scheduled for July 5 and 6, 2027. The upcoming shows mark a significant milestone for Italian fans, as Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr. return to the iconic Milan venue eighteen years after their last appearances there in 2009.

The general ticket sale for the concerts opened on Friday, November 6, at 10:00 AM. Prices for the standard seating and standing options vary depending on the chosen sector. Tickets start at 86.25 euros for the fifth numbered sector and reach 258.75 euros for the first sector. Fans who prefer standing arrangements in the general admission floor area and the Inner Circle can purchase tickets for 184 euros, excluding sales commissions, with VIP packages also made available through official ticketing networks.

In addition to the two confirmed dates, discussions and rumors have emerged regarding the possibility of extending the Milan residency. Reports indicate that additional shows on July 3 and 4, or alternatively on July 8 and 9, are currently under evaluation, though these extra dates have not yet received official confirmation from the organizers. If expanded to four nights, Milan would cement its status as a major hub on the band's European itinerary.

The stadium tour, titled "The Greatest Show On Earth," will feature the indie rock band Wolf Alice as special guests. The European schedule encompasses multiple major stadium stops across the continent, including performances in London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Lisbon, and Paris. The Italian shows are currently slated to begin at 7:30 PM, though final gate-opening times and schedules will be verified closer to the event dates.

The excitement surrounding the tour coincides with the upcoming release of the band's new record project, titled "Carnaval De Luz," which is set to debut on November 13, 2026. The new album adds fresh anticipation for concertgoers eager to hear both classic material and new music live during the stadium performances.

For travelers journeying from Turin to attend the San Siro shows, regional transport offers convenient alternatives to driving. Express train connections from Turin Porta Susa or Turin Porta Nuova to Milan Centrale take approximately one hour. From the central station, visitors can transfer via the M2 metro line to Garibaldi FS and switch to the M5 lilac line, which leads directly to the San Siro Stadio stop located right outside the venue. While driving via the A4 Turin-Milan highway remains an option, heightened traffic and limited parking during concert nights make public transit a recommended choice for attendees.
