Renowned Italian singer-songwriter Antonello Venditti recently underwent a scheduled surgical procedure at a hospital in Rome. The operation took place over the weekend, and while initial details regarding the exact nature of the hospitalization were kept private, reports confirm that the artist is in good health.

Following the procedure, the 77-year-old musician took to social media to address the public directly and calm concerns. In a message shared on Facebook, he expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support from his followers.

"Good morning, dear girls and boys. I wanted to reassure you about my health and at the same time thank you for the many messages received," Venditti wrote. "I am doing very well and am ready for the new concerts and the new album... Daje. A hug to everyone."

The surgery was planned in advance and is entirely unrelated to a previous procedure Venditti underwent in 2022 to address a macular pucker in his right eye. Unlike that previous instance, where he shared updates from his hospital bed on Instagram, the artist and his entourage opted to maintain strict privacy regarding this recent medical visit.

Despite the surgery, all scheduled musical commitments remain firmly in place. Venditti is slated to kick off his upcoming arena tour, titled "In questo mondo gli esseri più umani sono gli animali," on March 8, 2027, which marks his 78th birthday.

The tour's inaugural performance will take place at the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome. From there, the itinerary features stops in major Italian cities, including Mantova, Padova, Florence, Bari, Turin, Milan, and a final scheduled performance in Naples on May 19.

Looking past the recent hospital stay, the veteran artist remains fully focused on his creative future, signaling both a return to the live stage and the release of new music for his dedicated fan base.
