South Africa delivered a dominant performance against England to claim victory in the Bowl final at the Hong Kong Sixes tournament. The match served as a major highlight for the South African squad as they navigated through the closing stages of the multi-day international event.

The tournament itself featured a competitive 12-team format split across four groups of three. Following the group stage matches, teams advanced into three separate divisions consisting of the Cup, Plate, and Bowl tournaments based on their respective placements.

While defending champions Pakistan secured the Plate final, the overarching championship title for the 2026 edition was ultimately claimed by Afghanistan. Afghanistan defeated Australia in the Cup final on Sunday, November 1, successfully chasing down a target of 115 runs with five balls to spare.

The Hong Kong Sixes format continues to offer a distinct brand of cricket, requiring each participating nation to field seven players while maintaining six on the field at a time. The rules further stipulate that every member of the fielding side, excluding the designated wicketkeeper, must bowl an over during the match.

Other notable finishes in the tournament included India, which settled for an 11th-place finish among the 12 participating teams after navigating through group losses against Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates before defeating Bangladesh in a placement playoff.

The fast-paced competition concluded on November 1 after a series of 25 matches played over three days, which also incorporated a special women's exhibition match alongside the primary men's tournament brackets.
