The Netherlands national cricket team secured a comfortable seven-wicket victory against Oman in Match 144 of the ICC CWC League 2 2023-27 tournament. The fixture took place at the ICC Academy in Dubai, where the Dutch squad successfully chased down the target set by their opponents.

Oman batted first and was bowled out for 182 runs. Throughout their innings, the team struggled to build substantial partnerships against the disciplined Dutch bowling attack, ultimately folding before completing their full quota of overs.

In response, the Netherlands reached the target comfortably, finishing with 183 runs for the loss of just three wickets in 36 overs. The successful chase was anchored by Cedric de Lange, who played a brilliant innings of 79 runs from 107 balls.

De Lange received crucial support from Zach Lion-Cachet, who contributed 68 runs to the total. Together, the pair formed a formidable partnership that steered their side safely through the middle overs of the match.

Despite the loss, Oman's bowlers managed to pick up three wickets during the Dutch innings, but the low total on the board proved insufficient to defend against the steady batting performance from the Netherlands.

Following the conclusion of the match, Colin Ackermann was named player of the match for his overall contributions during the contest. The fixture forms part of the ongoing multi-year ICC CWC League 2 schedule, which features several international cricket nations competing in One Day International fixtures.
