McDonald's to Launch Pokémon Happy Meals Featuring Collectible Toys and Cards

Participating locations will offer Pokémon-themed boxes, figurines, and trading cards starting November 10.

McDonald's is bringing back Pokémon Happy Meals to participating restaurants nationwide starting November 10. The upcoming promotion follows a series of seasonal fast-food offerings and gives young fans and collectors a chance to secure limited-edition items while supplies last.

Each promotional Happy Meal will include standard menu selections such as a hamburger or a four- or six-piece Chicken McNuggets meal. These choices come paired with kid-sized french fries, apple slices, and a beverage, maintaining the traditional meal structure.

Inside every box, customers will discover one of 15 collectible Pokémon toys alongside two of 15 collectible Pokémon cards. The figurines depict popular characters such as Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Eevee, and Snorlax, with each toy shaped in a squared-off design resembling a Happy Meal box featuring the Golden Arches as handles.

In addition to the physical toys and cards, patrons can scan a QR code located directly on the Happy Meal box. This grants digital access to an online game where players can find all 15 featured Pokémon characters hidden throughout a virtual playground and classroom setting.

The rollout arrives shortly after McDonald's wraps up its current Halloween-themed promotion. Through October 31, participating restaurants have been offering collectible Disney Villains Boo Buckets featuring characters such as Maleficent, Ursula, Cruella de Vil, Jafar, and Scar, available with Happy Meal purchases while supplies last.

Due to high demand historically associated with Pokémon merchandise, supplies for the upcoming November release are expected to diminish rapidly. Similar promotions in international markets, such as in Japan, have previously resulted in heavy customer traffic and prompted purchase limits to manage inventory and ensure fair access for families.
