Katseye Postpones Chicago and Detroit Concerts Due to Member Illness

The girl group delayed performances at the United Center and Little Caesars Arena, leaving fans seeking information on rescheduled dates.

The girl group Katseye has postponed recent concert dates in Chicago and Detroit, citing illness among its members. The cancellations have prompted frustration among fans who traveled significant distances and incurred substantial expenses to attend the performances.

In Chicago, the United Center announced on Thursday that the scheduled concert would not proceed. The venue stated via social media that the postponement was necessary because a member of the group, identified as Megan, was unwell. The United Center advised ticket holders that doors would remain closed and requested that fans not travel to the arena.

Earlier in the week, a similar situation unfolded in Detroit at the Little Caesars Arena. The performance, which was sold out, was called off just 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. According to 313 Presents, the organization managing the venue, the decision was made due to illness within the group.

The last-minute nature of the Detroit cancellation drew criticism from attendees. Jessica Lenhardy, a parent who traveled from Illinois with her two daughters, expressed disappointment regarding the timing of the announcement. She noted that she had spent approximately $5,000 on tickets, travel, and related expenses, and suggested that earlier notification would have allowed out-of-town guests to avoid unnecessary travel.

"It was shocking that they went through and kind of kept our hopes up until a few minutes before the show," Lenhardy said. "So I do think that if things were going wrong since the morning or even a day before, we should’ve been notified maybe 24 hours at least in advance, and they could’ve saved a lot of people coming from out of town the time and effort to get there."

In response to the disruption, 313 Presents issued an apology to those affected by the Detroit postponement, acknowledging the inconvenience caused to fans who had traveled to the city. The group also shared an apology through their official Instagram account regarding the situation.

Regarding ticket policies, officials have confirmed that original tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled dates, including VIP packages and soundcheck upgrades. Fans are encouraged to retain their current tickets while awaiting further announcements. For those unable to attend the future dates, refund options will be made available through the original methods of purchase.
