Supermodel Heidi Klum continued her tradition of elaborate Halloween transformations by arriving at her annual party in New York City dressed as a giant, gruesome severed hand. The event, marking the 25th anniversary of her famous celebration, took place at the Cathédrale restaurant.

Klum arrived at the venue in a vehicle covered in hazard markings, accompanied by attendants wearing blood-stained protective suits. Due to the massive scale of the prosthetic creation, she required assistance to step down and pose for the waiting photographers and reporters.

The costume was designed to replicate Klum's own left hand, featuring deteriorated tissues, dangling ligaments, exposed tendons, and a blood-stained, torn wrist. The design also incorporated intricate personal details, including dark red nail polish, a wedding ring with a green stone, and a tattoo dedicated to her husband, Tom Kaulitz, who was absent from the event due to a tour.

Prosthetics expert Mike Marino and his team at ProRenFX crafted the outfit utilizing body scans to accurately capture skin lines, veins, and muscle structures. Klum explained that the concept originated a year prior while she was looking at her own hand and wondering if her entire body could fit inside an oversized replica.

The final preparation required roughly six hours of makeup and application. The structure allowed Klum to position her legs inside two of the central fingers to maintain balance, while a specialized prosthetic mask left her eyes and mouth visible so she could navigate the crowded venue.

A host of notable celebrities attended the landmark anniversary celebration, including actors Kyle MacLachlan, Eric McCormack, and Taylor Momsen, alongside model Valentina Sampaio. Klum's previous memorable costumes include a giant earthworm, an alien from E.T., and Medusa.
