The Golden State Warriors secured a 116-113 victory against the Phoenix Suns on Monday night in a game marked by a third-quarter altercation and the ejection of veteran forward Draymond Green. Trailing by 10 points at the time of the incident, the Warriors staged a successful comeback to extend their winning streak to five games.

The confrontation occurred during the third quarter when Green went to the floor following contact from Suns center Khaman Maluach. Green quickly stood up, grabbed Maluach, and brought him down to the court. Phoenix wing Dillon Brooks immediately rushed in to confront Green, resulting in a scuffle where Green grabbed Brooks by the jersey before being separated.

Following a review, Green was assessed a pair of technical fouls, leading to his automatic ejection from the contest. He finished the evening with four points, four rebounds, and two assists in 17 minutes of action. Brooks, who finished with 18 points, eight rebounds, and four assists, downplayed his role in the altercation after the final buzzer.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Brooks stated that he was attempting to calm the situation down. "I was just trying to de-escalate it. He was just tweaking all game," Brooks said of Green.

With Green sidelined and the team facing a double-digit deficit, Stephen Curry stepped up to lead the offensive charge. Curry scored a game-high 34 points, fueling the Warriors' late-game surge. Afterward, Curry credited Green's fiery exit with sparking the team's competitive response.

"He lit a fire in all of us. We had to respond. I'm glad we did," Curry told reporters regarding the ejection.

The loss continues a difficult stretch for the Suns, who dropped their third consecutive game and fell to an overall record of 1-4 for the season. Phoenix fielded a starting lineup featuring Devin Booker, Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, Miles Bridges, and Khaman Maluach under head coach Jordan Ott.

Golden State's recent win brings their record to five consecutive victories following an 0-3 start to the campaign. The two Western Conference rivals are not scheduled to face each other again until December 28, just a few days after Christmas.
