The Pittsburgh Steelers secured a commanding 27-6 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday at Acrisure Stadium, claiming sole possession of first place in the AFC North division. The win extended Pittsburgh's regular-season home winning streak against Cleveland to 23 consecutive games and improved the Steelers' record to 6-2 as they head into their bye week. Meanwhile, the Browns dropped to 5-3 on the season.

Pittsburgh established control early, building a 20-6 lead by halftime behind a dominant ground game. Running back Jaylen Warren, celebrating his 28th birthday, rushed for 102 yards in the first half alone and finished the contest with 143 yards on 17 carries. Rico Dowdle also contributed significantly to the rushing attack, which totaled 200 yards and three touchdowns on 33 carries. In contrast, the Browns struggled to move the ball on the ground, managing only 34 rushing yards on 14 attempts.

The game shifted immediately when Cleveland quarterback Deshaun Watson took a hard hit on the third play of the game, prompting his temporary exit for a concussion check. Shedeur Sanders briefly stepped in at quarterback before Watson returned. The Pittsburgh defense harassed Watson throughout the afternoon, recording eight sacks. T.J. Watt collected two sacks, pushing his career total against Cleveland to a record 20.5, while Patrick Queen added nine tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Cleveland's offense relied heavily on tight end Harold Fannin Jr., who caught 10 passes for a career-high 154 yards despite losing a fumble in the first quarter. The Browns attempted to mount a comeback in the second half, but a red-zone turnover on downs early in the fourth quarter stifled their momentum. Denzel Ward provided a defensive highlight for Cleveland by intercepting an Aaron Rodgers pass in the third quarter, but the Browns failed to capitalize on the turnover.

The matchup drew significant pregame attention following comments from Cleveland edge rusher Jared Verse regarding Pittsburgh's style of play. The Steelers responded on the field, utilizing a punishing running game and suffocating defense to silence their division rivals. Pittsburgh capitalized on two early forced turnovers to set the tone for the afternoon.

With the victory, the Steelers enter their bye week riding a four-game winning streak. The Browns will look to rebound as the AFC North race continues to feature competitive positioning among all division members.
