Carlos Mauricio Gómez, widely known as the prominent online content creator Komanche, has died at the age of 30. Mexican authorities discovered his lifeless body on Sunday inside a residence located in Monterrey, situated in the Mexican state of Nuevo León, while investigations into the cause of his passing remain underway.

The tragic news was confirmed on social media by his representative, Byron Reyes, following direct communication with the creator's family. Reyes expressed profound sorrow over the premature loss, noting that they had shared upcoming professional plans that held deep personal meaning for both of them.

Born in El Salvador in 1996 and based in Mexico, Gómez achieved widespread recognition across Latin America and Spain through his dynamic live broadcasts on platforms like Twitch and Kick. He cultivated a large following, amassing nearly half a million subscribers on YouTube and hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram.

Beyond his individual broadcasts, Komanche gained international acclaim as a co-creator of the Squid Craft Games, a massive online gaming competition hosted within Minecraft. Teaming up with prominent internet personalities such as AuronPlay and Rubius, the event achieved record-breaking viewership, drawing up to 2.2 million concurrent viewers and averaging one million.

Following the announcement of his death, online platforms flooded with emotional tributes from fellow creators and close friends. AuronPlay shared a heartfelt message detailing their close friendship and recounting how Gómez changed his travel plans to spend time with him after noticing he was struggling emotionally. "I am broken to think that just recently we were together, laughing as always, and that now I have to say goodbye to you like this," AuronPlay wrote.

Other notable figures in the streaming community, including Ibai Llanos, Westcol, Coscu, and Spreen, also expressed devastation over the loss. Llanos, who shared a close bond with the creator, posted, "Rest in peace, brother. We will remember you all your life."

Amid the mourning, several peers highlighted the intense digital harassment and cyberbullying that Gómez had recently faced. Reyes and other industry figures like Pol Turrents emphasized the severe psychological toll that online hate takes on public figures, urging greater awareness of the real-world consequences of online commentary.
