The Paris FC continued its strong home campaign by defeating AS Monaco 3-1 on Sunday at Stade Jean-Bouin during the ninth round of Ligue 1. With this convincing victory, the capital club climbed to fourth place in the championship standings with 17 points, tying Lyon and pushing Monaco down to sixth place.

Monaco entered the match searching for a breakthrough, having failed to win its previous four league outings. Despite starting the fixture higher in the standings, the visiting side struggled significantly during a passive first half that allowed Paris FC's technical players to dictate the pace of the game.

The breakthrough arrived in the 38th minute following a defensive miscommunication between goalkeeper Lukás Hrádecký and Eric Dier. Maxime Lopez delivered a precise pass to Lassine Sinayoko inside the six-yard box, allowing the Malian forward to comfortably open the scoring. Just six minutes later, Moses Simon launched a long ball from deep in his own half, finding Sinayoko, who slipped past defenders to beat Hrádecký with a low right-footed shot, securing his eighth goal of the season.

Monaco manager Filipe Luis attempted to spark a comeback after halftime by introducing fresh tactical options, including American forward Folarin Balogun. The tactical shift paid off in the 65th minute when Balogun capitalized on an opportunity created by Vanderson to narrow the deficit to 2-1.

However, the Parisian momentum proved unstoppable. In the 74th minute, after patient buildup work inside the penalty area, Sinayoko fed Pablo Pagis, who calmly slotted home a low shot to restore a two-goal cushion and seal the final 3-1 scoreline.

The triumph capped off a memorable day for the club, which is owned by the Arnault family, and served as a fitting farewell for club president Pierre Ferracci, who has led the organization for 14 years and played a vital role in guiding the team to the top division. Paris FC remains undefeated at home this season, recording four victories and a draw.

Meanwhile, AS Monaco must regroup after extending its winless run in Ligue 1. The team from the Principality will need to address its defensive vulnerabilities if it hopes to reassert itself among the top contenders in the French top flight.
