Wide receiver Luther Burden III put together a strong performance on Monday night, helping the Chicago Bears secure a 34-17 road victory over the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field. Burden hauled in seven of nine targets for 56 yards and a touchdown, anchoring the Chicago passing attack during a dominant primetime display.

The former Missouri standout opened the scoring for the Bears with a 1-yard touchdown reception with 5:25 remaining in the first quarter. That score capped off an impressive 17-play, 80-year opening drive that chewed up nearly nine minutes of game clock. Notably, it marked the first touchdown surrendered by the Seahawks defense on an opening possession in their previous 26 games.

Burden has emerged as a reliable primary option through the air for quarterback Caleb Williams, particularly since the signal-caller's return from injury. Over his last three games, Burden has totaled 19 receptions for 281 yards and two touchdowns. His latest performance on Monday Night Football reinforces his role in the offense, utilizing a mix of short routes against zone coverages and deeper extensions against man-to-man assignments.

The opening-drive touchdown was Burden's third score of the season, two of which have come during opening possessions on Monday night. He previously found the end zone during a primetime victory against the Philadelphia Eagles on September 28. Entering the contest against Seattle, the second-year receiver had already recorded 35 receptions for 491 yards, following a rookie campaign in which he tallied 47 catches for 652 yards and two touchdowns.

While Burden set the early tone for Chicago's offense, teammates also contributed significantly to the 34-17 rout. Running back D'Andre Swift spearheaded the ground attack with 27 carries for 69 yards and three touchdowns, while also catching two passes for 10 yards. Quarterback Caleb Williams finished the night completing 24 of 34 pass attempts for 247 yards and one touchdown, allowing the offense to operate efficiently and control the pace of the game.

Through the air, wide receiver Rome Odunze led the team with 87 receiving yards on four catches, and tight end Colston Loveland added seven receptions for 65 yards, tying Burden for the team lead in targets. Defensively, the Bears stifled Seattle, forcing turnovers and adding a blocked field goal to improve their record and showcase their credentials as a top contender.

With the victory behind them, Burden and the Chicago Bears will turn their attention toward Week 9. The team returns home to host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on November 8, with kickoff scheduled for 8:20 p.m. Eastern Time.
