The Chicago Bears defeated the Seattle Seahawks 34-17 at Lumen Field, improving their record to 6-2 and marking their best start to a season since 2012. Chicago capitalized on key defensive stops and a strong second-half performance from running back D'Andre Swift to pull away from the defending Super Bowl champions.

Chicago never trailed during the matchup, taking a 13-9 lead into halftime after quarterback Caleb Williams connected with wide receiver Luther Burden III for a 1-yard touchdown early in the game. However, the Seahawks mounted a challenge in the fourth quarter following a fumble by Bears tight end Colston Loveland. Quarterback Sam Darnold quickly orchestrated a scoring drive, finding Cooper Kupp for a 7-yard touchdown and connecting with Tory Horton for a two-point conversion to narrow Chicago's lead to 20-17.

Responding to the pressure, the Bears extended their advantage when Kalif Raymond broke loose for a 39-yard gain on a third-and-nine play. Swift finished the drive with his second rushing touchdown of the night, pushing the score to 27-17.

The turning point of the game arrived defensively shortly thereafter. With 5:52 remaining in the fourth quarter, Chicago defensive end Austin Booker extended his 6-foot-6 frame to deflect a pass thrown by Darnold. Veteran defensive lineman James Lynch caught the resulting interception, returning it 16 yards to the Seattle 6-yard line.

Capitalizing on the turnover, Swift scored his third rushing touchdown of the game just plays later, extending the lead to 34-17 and putting the contest out of reach with 4:41 left on the clock. Swift finished the night with 27 carries for 69 yards and three touchdowns.

Williams delivered a steady performance under center, completing 24 of 34 passes for 247 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions, achieving a 101.0 passer rating. He became the first opposing quarterback this season to surpass 200 passing yards against Seattle's defense.

The Bears' defense also saw an immediate impact from newly acquired defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons, who recorded six tackles, a sack, and two tackles for loss following his arrival from the Tennessee Titans. With the win, Chicago secures consecutive victories over last season's Super Bowl participants, having defeated the New England Patriots the week prior.
