The reality television escape game "Wanted: Catch Me If You Can" returned to M6 on Thursday, October 29, 2026, featuring high-stakes manhunts across northern France. Among the most talked-about pairings of the season was the unconventional duo formed by content creator Jeremstar and former swimming coach Philippe Lucas, whose partnership ultimately came to a frustrating end during the second week of broadcasts.

Reflecting on the experience, Jeremstar admitted he was initially terrified of Lucas, stating, "I was super worried before starting the escape because he is a character who terrified me, I was very scared of him." Despite initial friction and vastly different approaches—with Jeremstar handling most logistics while Lucas preferred staying in hotels—the two developed a genuine bond throughout their journey.

Their escape across northern France included humorous moments, such as Jeremstar teasing Lucas by comparing him to musician Michel Polnareff, much to the coach's annoyance. However, the adventure concluded abruptly when they were caught by guardians Issa Doumbia, Adil Rami, and Michou. According to Jeremstar, their capture was the result of betrayal by members of the public. "I would have loved to go all the way and win the adventure, but I was betrayed. People made me believe they appreciated me while they were orchestrating my capture!" he said, adding that he cried out of rage and disappointment upon learning how they were caught.

Lucas, meanwhile, appeared completely unfazed by the elimination. According to his partner, the former coach was discovered urinating in a train station just as they were supposed to be fleeing. "He was out of breath, tired even though he hadn't done anything, and above all relieved that it all stopped so he could go back to his swimming training," Jeremstar recounted.

The hit M6 program places sixteen celebrities into pairs, forcing them to evade three guardians without money, phones, or standard maps. As the competition progresses, remaining contestants face mounting pressure, unpredictable encounters with local residents, and the constant threat of being reported to their pursuers.

Other pairs in the competition have faced their own dramatic encounters. During the same broadcast, contestants Élodie Gossuin and Rachel Legrain-Trapani found themselves briefly detained at a police station after guardian Michou contacted the local mayor of Albert to stall them with the municipal police before they could reach a strategic immunity buzzer.

As the competition continues, remaining celebrity pairs must navigate increasing scrutiny from both the public and the guardians, with viewer reports and local tips playing a decisive role in who stays on the run and who gets caught.
