M6 Premieres Interactive Chase Game Wanted, Attrape-Moi Si Tu Peux

Sixteen celebrity duos go on the run across France in a new reality format that allows viewers to interact live.

French television network M6 is launching a large-scale interactive evasion game titled "Wanted, attrape-moi si tu peux." Adapted from successful formats in the Netherlands, Germany, and Hungary, the program is described by executives as a giant game of cat and mouse played across the country.

The competition features sixteen celebrities divided into eight pairs who serve as fugitives. Filmed over four days from September 29 to October 2, the participants start their journey stripped of money, phones, and familiar landmarks, relying solely on themselves to travel, find food, hide, and survive.

Pursuing the fugitives are three celebrity guardians: internet personality Michou, former professional soccer player Adil Rami, and comedian Issa Doumbia. Armed with technological tools including drones and GPS trackers, the guardians must hunt down the fleeing duos within a playing field compared in size to the Netherlands.

The adventure began in Amiens at Place Notre-Dame, where the fugitive pairs boarded vehicles and scattered in different directions before the guardians were allowed to give chase. Rules required the fugitives to switch cars every forty minutes while sharing their GPS coordinates with their pursuers during specific daytime hours.

A notable feature of the production is audience interaction. For the first time in a French television format of this scale, viewers can become active participants by choosing to assist either the guardians or the fugitives through a dedicated phone number, streaming platforms, and social media.

Among the participants is hair stylist Yoan Louis, who gained online attention earlier this year for his striking resemblance to French actor Pierre Niney. Teaming up with Nicolas Waldorf, Louis noted that he accepted the challenge to showcase his own distinct identity rather than relying on his viral appearance.

Production company Studio 89 acknowledged the format was a significant risk and a leap into the unknown. Executive Emmanuel Graveleau and M6 program director Florence Duhayot oversaw the project, which aims to engage audiences through both linear broadcasting and free streaming on the M6+ platform.
