Indian television actor Anuj Thakur passed away at the age of 33 on October 27 after suffering a seizure in his sleep. The tragic news was confirmed by his friend and casting director Rubesh Sonar through a statement shared on social media.

Sonar, who stated that he had known Thakur since 2008 and collaborated with him on multiple television projects, shared details of the actor's final moments. According to Sonar, he met with Thakur's family, including his mother and brother, who explained that the actor experienced a fatal seizure during the night.

Thakur was known for maintaining a disciplined daily routine that included waking up early at 4:30 a.m. for exercise and jogging. On the morning of his passing, however, he failed to wake up despite his alarm ringing. When his mother went to his bedroom to check on him, she discovered that he had died in his sleep.

The unexpected loss sent shockwaves through the Indian television industry, prompting an outpouring of grief from colleagues and friends. Actor Waqar Shaikh expressed his disbelief, describing Thakur as a kind and gentle person whom he had known since the beginning of his career. Yamini Malhotra, a participant in Bigg Boss 18, also shared her sorrow and astonishment over the sudden tragedy.

Sonar revealed that Thakur had been actively planning his return to television and spoke enthusiastically about his upcoming projects during their final meeting just ten days prior to his death. He remembered Thakur as a respectful, generous, and joyful individual who always treated others with dignity.

In addition to his career ambitions, Thakur had completed preparations for a family vacation to New York with his mother and brother, with tickets booked and visas secured. His sudden passing has left his family, friends, and peers struggling to come to terms with the loss.

Throughout his acting career, Thakur appeared in several prominent Hindi television series, including Dhoom Machao Dhoom, Bandhan Saath Janmon Ka, Beendh Banoonga Ghodi Chadunga, and Mahisagar.
