The Obsession star delivered her first Saturday Night Live hosting debut alongside musical guest Gracie Abrams, touching on her upcoming casting as Rogue.
Actress Inde Navarrette made her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live during the show's Halloween episode, taking the Studio 8H stage with musical guest Gracie Abrams. The broadcast marked a major milestone for the breakout star following her leading role in the horror film Obsession.
During her opening monologue, Navarrette addressed the massive success of Obsession, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival before earning over $500 million globally in theaters. She joked with the audience about her character, Nikki, and pointed out her boyfriend seated in the crowd.
The actress also spoke publicly about her newly confirmed casting as Rogue in Marvel Studios' upcoming X-Men reboot. Discussing the physical preparations required for the superhero role, she delivered a lighthearted jab at the previous month's host, comedian Shane Gillis, referencing his remarks regarding gym attire.
The Halloween episode additionally featured a special tribute to the late actor Sir Patrick Stewart. As the broadcast came to a close, Saturday Night Live honored the legendary X-Men and Star Trek star following his passing at the age of 86, airing a throwback clip from his own hosting appearance in 1994 alongside musical act Salt-N-Pepa.
