Actress Inde Navarrette made her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live for a special Halloween night episode of Season 52. The broadcast marked only the fifth time in the sketch comedy show's history that a new episode has fallen directly on October 31.

Navarrette stepped into the spotlight following her breakout success as Nikki Freeman in the supernatural horror film Obsession. The commercial hit provided a fitting background for the actress, who leaned into the holiday theme alongside cast members like Jane Wickline during promotional segments.

Musical guest Gracie Abrams returned to the show for her second appearance, performing ahead of her upcoming global tour and following the summer release of her third studio album. Abrams also treated viewers to themed costume changes throughout the night.

Beyond her comedy debut on television, Navarrette has established a strong presence in major upcoming franchises. Marvel Studios previously announced her casting as Rogue in the upcoming X-Men film reboot, a role she noted shares thematic parallels with her horror background due to its exploration of bodily autonomy and personal boundaries.

Reflecting on her journey into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Navarrette admitted she had playfully dropped hints to fans about her casting months prior to the official D23 announcement by drawing comparisons between Rogue and her childhood favorite character, Mystique.

Saturday Night Live will continue its Season 52 schedule in November, with Druski and musical guest The Strokes scheduled for November 7, followed by John Mulaney and Phoebe Bridgers on November 14.
