Club America Femenil Set to Face Atlante in Liga MX
The two teams prepare to clash for the first time in tournament history during the Apertura 2026 season.
Club America Femenil is scheduled to host Atlante this Sunday, November 1, for Week 13 of the Liga MX Femenil Apertura 2026 tournament. The match is set to begin at 3:45 PM Central Time at Estadio El Nido, located within the Coapa facilities.
The upcoming fixture presents a significant contrast between the two clubs. Under the direction of coach Angel Villacampa, America dominates the tournament standings and has already secured its playoff spot as the team aims to capture a back-to-back championship title. Meanwhile, Atlante enters the matchup struggling to accumulate points.
Atlante currently holds only seven units after 12 rounds of play. The team comes into Sunday's game carrying a three-match losing streak and a four-game scoring drought, positioning them as considerable underdogs against one of the league's powerhouse squads.
This encounter marks the very first meeting between America Femenil and Atlante in competitive play. The Atlante squad joined the top women's circuit in Mexico following the club's return to the maximum division, setting the stage for a historic inaugural matchup between the two sides.
America will receive a boost with the return of Scarlett Camberos, who rejoins the roster after finishing 21st in the Ballon d'Or voting. The team's anticipated starting lineup features Celeste Espino in goal, supported by defenders Isa Haas, Kim Rodríguez, Karina Rodríguez, and Jana Gutiérrez, alongside midfielders Gabriela García, Nancy Antonio, and Irene Guerrero, and forwards Camberos, Sarah Luebbert, and Geyse Ferreira.
Atlante's projected lineup includes Riley Meléndez protecting the goal, with a defensive line consisting of Ana Lorena Torres, Selene Valera, Judith Félix, and Nataly Cárdenas. The midfield features Karen Becerril, Alexeis Kirnos, and Conni Herrera, while Chandler McDaniel and Alexia Villanueva are expected to lead the attack.
Fans wishing to watch the game live will not find a broadcast on open television. Instead, the match will be available for streaming through Vix and the official Liga MX Femenil YouTube channel, allowing supporters to view the contest for free.
As the teams prepare to take the field on the Day of Dead holiday, analysts widely project a decisive victory for America Femenil, citing their strong current form, complete roster, and home-field advantage.
