CD Tenerife forward Jesús de Miguel was rushed to the hospital on Monday following a severe on-field collision during a LaLiga Hypermotion match against FC Andorra at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium. The game, which had been postponed by a day due to severe weather alerts on the island, ended in a 2-2 draw before being definitively suspended in the 108th minute.

The incident occurred during the final moments of stoppage time when De Miguel chased down a loose ball to launch a counterattack. FC Andorra goalkeeper Jesús Owono rushed far out of his penalty area to intercept the play and collided heavily with the forward, striking him in the chest. The referee immediately issued a red card to Owono for the challenge.

Following the impact, De Miguel collapsed unconscious onto the turf. Teammates from both sides frantically signaled for medical staff, and players were visibly distressed, with some in tears as emergency personnel rushed onto the pitch to assist the fallen player.

Medical professionals performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (RCP) on the player, successfully restoring his pulse. He was then evacuated from the stadium in an ambulance and admitted to the University Hospital of Nuestra Señora de Candelaria.

In an official statement released on Monday, CD Tenerife confirmed the player's current status, noting that he is "stable, within gravity" while receiving care in the intensive care unit. The club stated that its medical staff is monitoring his progress at the hospital and will provide updates as new information becomes available.

The match itself was halted with the score tied at 2-2, after FC Andorra had managed to overcome a two-goal deficit with goals in the 80th and 87th minutes. Following the medical emergency and subsequent suspension of the fixture, competition authorities and clubs are yet to announce decisions regarding the final outcome of the match or potential disciplinary actions related to the incident.

Well wishes have poured in from across the football community, including messages of support from rival clubs such as Córdoba CF, as players, officials, and fans await further updates on the striker's health and recovery.
