The VfL Osnabrück secured a comfortable 3-0 victory against SpVgg Greuther Fürth in the 2. Bundesliga. Playing in the rain at a sold-out Stadion an der Bremer Brücke in front of 15,741 spectators, the newly promoted side capitalized on numerous mistakes from their opponents to halt their recent winless run.

Following a quiet first half-hour, the home team struck twice within a span of 101 seconds shortly before halftime. Daniel-Kofi Kyereh opened the scoring in the 37th minute after intercepting a loose ball following a turnover by Felix Klaus and sprinting from his own half to finish cleanly.

Just two minutes later, Robin Meißner doubled Osnabrück's lead in the 39th minute following another build-up error that included a misplay by Paul Will. The quick double strike left the visiting defense struggling and put the hosts firmly in control heading into the break.

Greuther Fürth failed to mount a meaningful response in the second half. Osnabrück continued to pressure, with Kyereh hitting the crossbar shortly after the restart in the 48th minute, following an earlier first-half shot from Leonhard Münst that struck the post.

Substitute Ismail Badjie sealed the victory in the 75th minute by scoring the third goal after another defensive miscue, this time involving substitute Mika Wallentowitz. The home side missed several additional chances, meaning the final scoreline could have been even wider.

Greuther Fürth players and staff expressed severe disappointment following the match, unable to build upon their previous week's 2-0 victory against Eintracht Braunschweig. Forward Felix Klaus did not hold back in his post-match assessment during an interview with the ARD broadcaster.

"Our performance was bottomless, and we caught a thoroughly black day," Klaus stated, translating his remarks on the team's struggles. "We could even lose 4-0 or 5-0. It was a very weak performance from us, and it was far too little from us in all respects."

With this victory, Osnabrück successfully moves past Fürth in the league standings, bouncing back after collecting only two points from their previous four games. Meanwhile, Greuther Fürth must reassess and look downward in the table as they try to correct their defensive vulnerabilities.
