The South Carolina State Bulldogs are set to take on the Morgan State Bears in Baltimore, Maryland, on Thursday, October 29. Kickoff for the Football Championship Subdivision matchup is scheduled for 7 p.m. Eastern Time and will be broadcast live on ESPNU.

South Carolina State enters the game as a favorite on the point spread, controlling its own destiny within the MEAC conference. The Bulldogs are aiming to secure a conference title and a berth in the Celebration Bowl as they look to finish the season strong.

The Bulldogs have leaned heavily on quarterback Keely Watson, who has taken firm command of the offense this season. Watson has completed 63 percent of his passes for 1,368 yards and 11 touchdowns. Meanwhile, running back Mason Pickett-Hicks has rushed for 793 yards and seven touchdowns, while Josh Shaw anchors the red-zone attack with 12 rushing scores.

South Carolina State's defense has remained a formidable unit throughout the year, allowing fewer than 317 total yards in all but one game. The Bulldogs' front has generated significant pressure, accumulating 24 sacks and 66 tackles for loss, led by Ka Von Chisolm's seven sacks.

Morgan State enters the contest following a difficult stretch that included consecutive losses to Tennessee State and Howard University. Despite the recent setbacks, the Bears have experienced a resurgence under center this season, with quarterback Cameron Edge throwing for 1,694 yards and 14 touchdowns while completing 67 percent of his passes.

The Bears' offense also features running back Keith Jenkins Jr., who has rushed for 399 yards and three touchdowns while serving as a primary target out of the backfield with 28 receptions. However, Morgan State's defense has allowed an average of 381 yards per game against FCS competition, creating a tough challenge as they prepare to face the Bulldogs' high-powered offense.
