German television network SAT.1 continues to draw significant viewer attention through its diverse programming lineup, highlighted by new dramatic fiction and personal updates from prominent station personalities. The network recently launched a fresh true-crime fiction series titled "Lenßen: Anklage Mord," putting veteran attorney Ingo Lenßen back into the primetime spotlight.

Known to audiences from classic formats such as "Lenßen & Partner" and "Richter Alexander Hold," Lenßen takes on fiktive and emotional murder mysteries in the new 90-minute format. The series began broadcasting on Monday, November 2, 2026, occupying the 8:15 PM slot across three consecutive Mondays. In the storyline, the jurist prepares for his 65th birthday and retirement until his brother requests assistance, pulling him into complex investigations like the case of a farmer accused of drowning her husband in a slurry pit.

Following each broadcast of the fictional series at 10:15 PM, SAT.1 airs the live format "Lenßen Live," where the defense attorney directly answers real legal questions called in by viewers. Fans can also access the episodes digitally on the streaming platform Joyn, either during the television broadcast or on-demand afterward.

Away from the fictional drama, SAT.1 cooking show host Angelina Kirsch has shared candid details regarding her ongoing battle with a chronic and incurable condition. Kirsch, who guides viewers as the host of the popular cooking competition "The Taste," revealed that she has suffered from severe lipedema for several years.

The condition, characterized by a painful distribution disorder of fatty tissue, drastically worsened for the presenter in early 2026. Kirsch described experiencing constant discomfort while standing, walking, sitting, and even lying down, which heavily impacted her routine during long hours of television production. After altering her daily lifestyle with medical compression garments and lymphatic drainage treatments, she ultimately underwent successful surgical liposuction at a specialized clinic to remove the affected tissue.

Despite the health challenges, Kirsch remains a cornerstone of German television, continuing her hosting duties on "The Taste" as the culinary competition heads toward its season finale scheduled for December 9, 2026. Meanwhile, sister channels within the broader broadcasting landscape also celebrate milestones, with Sat.1 Gold achieving a strong market share of 2.8 percent in October, securing its position as the second most-watched channel in the network group behind main channel SAT.1.

As the fall television season progresses, SAT.1 balances gripping narrative entertainment with transparency from its leading figures, maintaining its stronghold in the competitive German media market.
