Purpose Investments Inc. announced the official launch of the ETF series for the Purpose Active Equity Fund on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol PAEF on November 4, 2026. The newly introduced vehicle operates as an equity fund actively allocated across global markets, marking the fourth addition to the existing Purpose Active Suite.

Prior to the inclusion of PAEF, the suite comprised the Purpose Active Conservative Fund, the Purpose Active Balanced Fund, and the Purpose Active Growth Fund. Combined assets under management for these existing offerings surpassed $714 million as of October 23, 2026, reflecting steady investor interest in the firm's managed portfolio strategies.

According to Craig Basinger, Chief Market Strategist and Portfolio Manager at Purpose Investments, the latest fund represents a natural progression for the suite. "PAEF is a natural extension of the Purpose Active Suite. It holds mainly equities and sits further out on the risk/return spectrum. This isn’t a beta-chasing strategy: we use portfolio tilts and exposures to be more contrarian or opportunistic, and a sleeve of diversifiers helps control risk," Basinger stated.

The fund is structured to provide shareholders with long-term capital growth primarily through investments in a diversified portfolio of global equity securities. While equities remain the primary holding, the management team retains the discretion to allocate capital into alternative asset classes when appropriate.

Portfolio construction for the strategy relies on a blended approach that merges active and passive investment methodologies. Management deploys active strategies in less efficient markets or areas where additional performance and risk management value can be captured, while utilizing passive exposure in more efficient market segments.

Purpose Investments operates as the investment management division under Purpose Unlimited, an independent financial services organization. As of October 30, 2026, Purpose Investments reported managing more than $33 billion in total assets across various mutual funds and exchange-traded products, maintaining a framework centered on risk discipline and long-term value creation.
