ProSieben has officially revealed the schedule and format changes for the upcoming edition of the Promi Darts-WM. Moving away from its traditional weekend broadcast slots, the upcoming tournament is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, January 5, 2027, airing live at 8:15 PM.

This scheduling decision places the live broadcast just two days after the conclusion of the official World Darts Championship. In previous years, the celebrity tournament typically aired on Saturday nights. However, following a shift to Sunday night that resulted in a dip in viewership—dropping below one million total viewers for the first time and decreasing to a 10.8 percent market share among the 14-to-49 demographic compared to previous highs of 14.4 percent—the network has chosen a Tuesday evening for the event.

Alongside the new date, the production is also changing its physical venue. Banijay Productions Germany will film the competition inside a television studio in Cologne-Mülheim, departing from the hotel event halls utilized in previous years.

Despite these logistical changes, the broadcasting team remains consistent with past iterations. Christian Düren is set to return as the host of the event, while Elmar Paulke will provide commentary for the matches.

Organizers have also confirmed the first competing duo for the tournament. Twitch personality and darts enthusiast Jens "Knossi" Knossalla will once again team up with professional player Michael "Mighty Mike" van Gerwen, recreating the partnership they first formed in 2024 when they reached the semi-finals.

Reflecting on their partnership, Knossi expressed enthusiasm about teaming up with the professional player once again. "We have become friends. When does something like that ever happen?" he stated, adding that van Gerwen had requested their reunion. "I am glad that we are competing together again, because Michael van Gerwen also wanted it. This time we are going to take the trophy! Bundle up!"

The Promi-Darts-WM features professional darts players paired with celebrity amateurs competing in the classic 501 game format. Fans will be able to watch the live broadcast on ProSieben or stream the event on Joyn.
