Prime Minister Narendra Modi disbursed the 24th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme during an event held in Banaskantha, Gujarat. The financial assistance was transferred directly into the bank accounts of eligible farmers via Direct Benefit Transfer, providing monetary relief as they prepare for the Rabi crop sowing season.

Under the PM-Kisan initiative, eligible farmers receive financial support of 6,000 rupees annually, distributed in three equal installments of 2,000 rupees each. The release of this latest installment brought timely financial backing to millions of agricultural workers, sparking celebrations and gatherings across various districts.

Local celebrations and live-viewing events took place at development blocks and administrative offices nationwide. In Gautam Buddh Nagar, officials and local farmers gathered at the Vikas Bhavan auditorium and development blocks including Jewar, Dadri, and Bisrakh to watch the live broadcast of the Prime Minister's address and the fund disbursement.

District authorities highlighted local disbursement figures during the events. In Firozabad, District Magistrate Santosh Kumar Sharma announced that over 2.33 million local farmers received a combined total of more than 46.73 million rupees in their bank accounts. In Bhadohi, Deputy Director of Agriculture Dr. Ram Pravesh noted that approximately 185,693 farmers in the district benefited from the 24th installment release.

Alongside the financial distribution, agricultural officials used the gatherings to educate attendees on modern farming practices, drip irrigation, and the avoidance of stubble burning. In Firozabad and Bhadohi, officials distributed mustard and gram seed minikits to farmers and offered guidance on acquiring subsidized seeds and fertilizers from authorized government depots.

Agricultural departments also reminded participants to complete mandatory requirements to ensure uninterrupted payments. Farmers who have not yet received their 2,000-rupee installment are advised to verify their e-KYC status and land records on the official PM-Kisan portal, as discrepancies in land verification can cause payment delays.

Farmers experiencing issues with their payments can seek assistance through dedicated government helpline numbers, specifically 155261 or 011-24300606. Additionally, the Kisan e-Mitra chatbot is available on the official portal to help answer queries regarding payment statuses and scheme guidelines.
