Millions of farmers across the nation are preparing to receive the 24th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, with the central government scheduled to disburse the funds on October 30, 2026. According to announcements made by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare on the social media platform X, eligible farming households will receive a direct transfer of 2,000 rupees.

Under the PM-KISAN program, the government provides an annual financial assistance of 6,000 rupees to eligible landholding farmer families. This total amount is distributed in three equal installments of 2,000 rupees directly into the beneficiaries' bank accounts using Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The initiative aims to help farmers manage expenses related to agricultural activities.

The upcoming release follows the 23rd installment, which was distributed on June 20, 2026, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Tarkeshwar in West Bengal's Hooghly district. During that previous disbursement, approximately 18,984 billion rupees were transferred to nearly 9.49 million farming families, maintaining a regular four-month interval between payouts.

While the official distribution is anticipated at the end of October, authorities have stressed that completing mandatory requirements is crucial for a smooth transaction. Farmers must ensure that their e-KYC is fully updated. Individuals with pending e-KYC verifications may face delays or disruptions in receiving their financial aid. Beneficiaries can complete this process online via the official portal using an OTP, or through biometric authentication at nearby common service centers and the official PM-Kisan mobile application.

In addition to e-KYC compliance, recipients are advised to verify that their land records, Aadhaar details, and bank account information are accurate and properly linked. The government noted that discrepancies in documentation, incorrect bank mapping, or cases where multiple members of the same family receive benefits could lead to temporary payment holds pending physical verification.

Beneficiaries can check their status and confirm if their names are included in the updated recipient lists by visiting the official website at pmkisan.gov.in. By navigating to the 'Farmers Corner' section and selecting the 'Beneficiary List' option, individuals can input their regional details to view local summaries. Furthermore, the 'Know Your Status' feature allows registered individuals to track payment progress using their registration numbers and mobile OTP verification.

The central government recently approved the continuation of the PM-Kisan initiative from the 2026-27 fiscal year through 2030-31, allocating roughly 3.15 trillion rupees to sustain the long-running economic support program that began in February 2019. Authorities have also urged beneficiaries to remain cautious of unauthorized messages and fraudulent links circulating on social media regarding the upcoming installment, emphasizing that all official updates are hosted exclusively on the government portal.
