Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Truck Collision in Elmshorn

A severe traffic collision occurred in Elmshorn, leaving a 34-year-old local woman with life-threatening injuries after she was struck and partially run over by a truck. The incident took place during the morning hours, drawing an immediate emergency response from local authorities.

According to the preliminary findings released by the police, a 43-year-old truck driver was operating his vehicle along Schulstraße at approximately 7:15 AM. The driver intended to make a right turn into the Holstenplatz area.

At the exact same time, the 34-year-old pedestrian was crossing the Holstenplatz intersection. Authorities reported that the woman was struck by the right side of the truck, causing her to fall to the ground and become trapped underneath the vehicle.

During the sequence of events, her legs were run over by the rear wheel of the truck. Emergency responders rushed her to a hospital for immediate medical treatment.
