New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry was forced to exit Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins due to a foot injury and did not return. The team captain left the contest during the second quarter after appearing to sustain the injury on a four-yard reception.

Before departing, Henry had established himself as a reliable target for quarterback Drake Maye, leading the team with three catches for 30 yards, which included a 20-yard reception on the opening drive to help set up a field goal. Following his initial departure, Henry spent time in the blue medical tent before walking back to the locker room.

Despite his early exit, the veteran tight end attempted to test his ailing foot on the sidelines prior to halftime and again early in the third quarter. However, those efforts proved unsuccessful, and he was officially ruled out for the remainder of the game during the fourth period.

With Henry sidelined, rookie Eli Raridon stepped in to take over as the team's primary tight end. The Patriots also had Cameron Latu and rookie Tanner Arkin available at the position as depth options.

Henry's injury compounded an already difficult situation for the New England offense, which entered the matchup at Hard Rock Stadium missing several key skill position players. Wide receivers A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs, along with running back TreVeyon Henderson, were unavailable for the contest, leaving the team with a severely depleted depth chart.

Despite the mounting injuries and a sluggish first-half performance that resulted in a 13-3 deficit, the Patriots managed to rally in the second half. Led by Drake Maye's resurgent play, New England secured a 24-19 comeback victory over Miami, though the loss of Henry remains a significant concern for the team moving forward.
