The Oklahoma City Thunder travel to face the Houston Rockets on Saturday at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on NBA TV, Thunder+, KSBI, and KWTV.

Both teams enter the matchup looking to bounce back from recent losses against the Dallas Mavericks. The Thunder dropped a 120-96 road game to Dallas on Wednesday, bringing their record to 4-1 for the season. Meanwhile, the Rockets fell 116-111 to the Mavericks on Friday, moving their record to 5-1.

Oklahoma City arrives at the contest facing an extensive injury list that has sidelined several key players. The team will be without three starters in Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams, and Cason Wallace, alongside crucial bench spark plug Alex Caruso. Holmgren is currently sidelined for eight to 10 weeks due to right knee patellar tendinitis.

The Thunder injury report also includes young prospects Thomas Sorber and Nikola Topic, neither of whom has played this season due to offseason surgeries. The wave of injuries leaves Oklahoma City drastically short-handed as they navigate the early portion of the 2026-27 regular season.

The Houston Rockets are dealing with their own roster absences ahead of the game. Houston has listed Steven Adams, Reed Sheppard, and Fred VanVleet out, alongside G League two-way players Quadir Copeland and Julian Phillips. Despite the injuries, the Rockets have started the season strong under the leadership of veteran players like Kevin Durant.

Entering Saturday night's matchup, betting odds via BetMGM list the Rockets as 2.5-point favorites with an over/under set at 219.5 points. The game marks the first meeting between the two Western Conference squads for the 2026-27 regular season.
