National Hockey League franchises are rolling out new alternate uniforms and merchandise as part of a league-wide campaign titled Hometown Remix. Designed in collaboration with jersey distributor Fanatics, the initiative aims to incorporate elements that celebrate each franchise's city and local fan base.

The Washington Capitals introduced their new sweater for the upcoming season, featuring previous logos from the team's past. The main chest crest displays the Capitol Dome logo used in the mid-2000s, while each shoulder features the classic screaming eagle over a marble-inspired pattern. The design also introduces a teal blue shade inspired by local bodies of water, complemented by rotunda bronze patterns and cherry blossom branches near the hemline.

Amanda Tischler, senior vice president of marketing for the Capitals, stated, "When you think about all 32 teams debuting different looks, we hope this is a favorite, and fans are really able to enjoy it this year and be able to represent it too through wearing it." The Capitals plan to wear the special jerseys 11 times during the season, starting on November 7 against the Florida Panthers at Capital One Arena.

Similarly, the Philadelphia Flyers revealed their Hometown Remix jerseys to honor Philadelphia as the original capital of the United States on the nation's 250th anniversary. The Flyers replaced their traditional black and orange with a dark gray base featuring orange stripes. A direct quote from the Liberty Bell inscription appears between the arm stripes, and the numbers showcase a cracked style reminiscent of the landmark.

Dan Hilferty, Comcast Spectacor Chairman and CEO and Flyers Governor, explained, "These uniforms bring together the city’s rich heritage and the spirit of hockey, creating a design that honors our past while looking ahead to the future." The Flyers are scheduled to debut these alternate uniforms on November 3 when they host the Minnesota Wild.

The Florida Panthers also joined the campaign with a tropical-themed design dominated by a shade of coral called Sunrise. The new look incorporates shades of gold, peach, and yellow, alongside a modernized stick-and-palm logo resembling a sunrise over the sea. Skaters will pair the coral jersey with dark blue helmets, pants, and specialized decals during their games.

Fans interested in purchasing the new merchandise can find the jerseys, caps, t-shirts, and sweatshirts at official team stores and online outlets. Several organizations are also pairing the uniform launches with community events, giveaways, and ticket packages to engage supporters throughout the season.
