The National Football League delivered a dramatic slate of games on Sunday, featuring crucial divisional battles, impressive offensive performances, and significant injuries across the league. In one of the most notable matchups of the day, the Buffalo Bills defeated the Baltimore Ravens 36-10, extending their winning streak to three games and bringing their record to 6-1.

The contest took a severe turn for Baltimore during the very first drive when quarterback Lamar Jackson sustained a thumb injury after hitting his right hand against the arm of Bills linebacker Greg Rousseau. Ravens head coach Jesse Minter announced after the game that Jackson will require surgery, a development that could prematurely end the star player's season. "It has to be the next-guy-up mentality," Minter stated regarding the loss of their dynamic quarterback.

Following Jackson's departure, backup Tyler Huntley stepped in before also suffering a toe injury in the second quarter. This forced the Ravens to turn to rookie emergency quarterback Joe Fagnano, an undrafted product of the University of Connecticut. Baltimore has now dropped three consecutive games, sliding their record down to 4-4 in a difficult stretch for the franchise.

Elsewhere in the AFC, the Pittsburgh Steelers dominated the Cleveland Browns 27-6, propelled by a career-tying performance from running back Jaylen Warren. Celebrating his 28th birthday, Warren rushed for 143 yards and a touchdown, helping the Steelers secure their 23rd consecutive home victory against their traditional rivals. The win elevates Pittsburgh to the top of the AFC North with a 6-2 record, while the struggling Browns fell to 5-3.

In the NFC, the Detroit Lions handed the Minnesota Vikings their first defeat of the season with a narrow 19-15 victory. Quarterback Jared Goff connected with Jameson Williams on a seven-yard touchdown pass with under five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter to seal the comeback. The triumph moves the Lions to 5-2 and halts the momentum of the previously undefeated Vikings, who dropped to 6-1 despite a strong effort from quarterback Kyler Murray.

The victory for Detroit, however, was marred by a serious health scare involving linebacker Jack Campbell. In the fourth quarter, Campbell was immobilized on a backboard and transported to a hospital after making a tackle on tight end T.J. Hockenson. Head coach Dan Campbell offered words of support after the game, noting that the team's thoughts are with their injured teammate.

In Denver, the Broncos captured a thrilling 28-24 win over the Kansas City Chiefs when defensive lineman Malcolm Roach sacked Patrick Mahomes on a crucial fourth-down play during the final seconds. The victory places the Broncos atop the AFC West with a 6-2 record, halting a late-game rally by the Chiefs. Meanwhile, the Washington Commanders defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 27-10, completely shutting out their opponents through the final three quarters to secure their second victory of the season.
