National Electoral Chamber Opens Provisional Voter Registry for 2027 Elections

Citizens can verify their registration details and request corrections online until November 30.

The National Electoral Chamber has officially opened the provisional voter registry for the upcoming national elections in 2027, when voters will elect a president and vice president and partially renew the federal Congress. Citizens can now check whether they are properly included in the National Electoral Registry and verify the accuracy of their personal information.

The provisional registry is available for online consultation on the official website of the Electoral Justice system. The review period will remain open through Monday, November 30. The procedure is entirely free of charge and requires users to complete identification details such as their national identity document, gender, and electoral district.

During this initial stage, the published registry displays each eligible voter's full name along with their corresponding section and electoral circuit. However, the system does not yet disclose the specific polling place, school, or ballot box assigned to each citizen. That precise logistical information will be released at a later date when the definitive voter roll is published.

The electoral authority strongly recommends that voters review their information well in advance, particularly if they have recently changed their address or updated personal records. The Chamber noted that participation in the electoral process begins with having accurate information and urged citizens to verify their status to help safeguard their voting rights.

Young people who will be voting for the first time in 2027 are especially encouraged to check their inclusion in the registry. In Argentina, voting is permitted starting at age 16, meaning adolescents who reach the qualifying age for the presidential elections can verify their status, provided they have completed the mandatory update of their identity document.

If individuals discover errors, omissions, or realize they do not appear in the database, they can file a formal claim through the official online claims system. This digital platform also allows citizens to report individuals who should not be listed on the registry and enables users to track the status of previously submitted requests before the November deadline.

The preparation of the electoral registry is a continuous administrative process managed alongside the National Registry for Persons, which provides data on new voters and address modifications. Following the conclusion of the provisional review window and the resolution of pending claims, election authorities will process the updates to shape the final registry ahead of the 2027 presidential campaign.
