The popular video game is set to release a Celestial Messenger outfit for the character as part of its seasonal roadmap.

Marvel Rivals has announced a series of updates for its ongoing Season 10.5, featuring a blend of Halloween-themed content and narrative events leading up to the highly anticipated film Avengers: Doomsday. Among the most notable additions for players is a new look for the Winter Soldier, which is scheduled to arrive on October 30.

The costume, described as a 'Celestial Messenger' outfit, will be released alongside a second Halloween-themed event titled Halloween: Night of Illusions. In addition to the Celestial Messenger look, the Winter Soldier will also receive a costume inspired by the title Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. These updates are part of a broader push to keep players engaged with the game's evolving roster and aesthetic offerings.

The current season, which began in September, has been focused on the character Gorr the God Butcher. With the transition to the 10.5 roadmap, the game is shifting its focus toward the Path to Doomsday, a series of events that tie into the broader Marvel Cinematic Universe narrative. This includes limited-time game modes and challenges that allow players to earn various character skins and bundles.

Beyond the Winter Soldier's new appearance, the roadmap includes several other seasonal highlights. On October 16, the game will launch the All Hallow’s Glow event, introducing costumes for characters such as Invisible Woman, Mr. Fantastic, and Deadpool. These additions are designed to celebrate the spooky season while maintaining the game's connection to the larger Marvel franchise.

The Path to Doomsday initiative also features significant PvE content. On October 23, players will be able to participate in an Avengers: Endgame-inspired mode where 50 participants face off against Thanos and his army. This event serves as a major milestone in the game's seasonal progression, mirroring the cinematic scale of the film's climactic battle.

While Marvel Rivals continues to expand its digital offerings, the Marvel brand is also preparing for a significant expansion in other media. Marvel Animation recently confirmed a slate of Disney+ specials under the Marvel Zombies banner, with a project titled The Winter Soldier scheduled for release in 2027. These projects, which also include The Fist of Khonshu and The Last Guardian, are planned to roll out annually through 2029.

As the MCU moves toward the release of Avengers: Doomsday in December, the synergy between Marvel's interactive gaming experiences and its film projects remains a core strategy. Whether through new character designs in Marvel Rivals or upcoming animated features, the studio continues to leverage its deep library of characters to maintain fan interest across multiple platforms.
