IU Tops Fan Ranking of Most Popular South Korean Actresses
Singer and actress IU leads a new community-driven popularity ranking of top South Korean television stars.
South Korean star IU has claimed the top spot in a major fan popularity ranking of the industry's leading actresses, according to community data from MyDramaList. Known widely for her successful music career as well as acclaimed acting projects, IU secured the highest number of user hearts on the platform.
The rankings, compiled by tracking fan engagement and support across television projects, highlight the enduring international appeal of Korean dramas. IU's recent television work includes starring alongside Park Bo Gum in the 2025 Netflix series When Life Gives You Tangerines, where she portrayed the character Ae-sun alongside her daughter, Geum-myeong. She followed that project with a starring role in the 2026 romantic drama Perfect Crown opposite Byeon Woo Seok.
Following closely behind in the fan-voted list are several other prominent names from the South Korean entertainment industry. Actress Park Shin Hye secured the second position following her recent television return in the 2026 series Undercover Miss Hong and her acclaimed performance in the 2024 fantasy drama The Judge from Hell.
Park Min Young took the third spot on the list, bolstered by her success in the 2024 revenge drama Marry My Husband, followed by subsequent 2025 and 2026 projects including Confidence Queen and Siren's Kiss. Meanwhile, Park Bo Young ranked fourth, continuing a busy career that featured dual roles as twin sisters in the 2025 Netflix series Our Unwritten Seoul and an appearance in the 2026 Disney+ drama Gold Land.
Rounding out the top tier of the rankings is Bae Suzy at fifth place. Suzy, who initially rose to fame as a member of the K-girl group Miss A, has transitioned into a celebrated television actress with leading roles in acclaimed dramas such as Anna, Doona!, and the 2025 fantasy romantic comedy Genie, Make a Wish.
Other notable actresses appearing further down the fan popularity list include Jung So Min, Kim So Hyun, Kim You Jung, Kim Go Eun, and Lee Sung Kyung. Each of these performers has built extensive television resumes featuring prominent roles in romantic comedies, historical dramas, and psychological thrillers over recent years.
The community-driven platform notes that these popularity metrics reflect fan engagement up to late 2026. As international audiences continue to embrace Korean television across streaming services, fan support for these leading women remains exceptionally strong across global communities.
