Major League Baseball announced the recipients of the 2026 Rawlings Gold Glove Awards on Sunday evening, honoring the top defensive performers across both the American and National Leagues for their excellence on the field.

The selection process combined votes from Major League managers and up to six coaches from each team, which accounted for 75 percent of the total, with the remaining 25 percent determined by the SABR Defensive Index metrics. A separate defensive formula created by SABR and Rawlings was utilized to select the utility winners in each league.

In the American League, the Boston Red Sox stood out with three selections: Caleb Durbin at third base, Ceddanne Rafaela in center field, and Wilyer Abreu in right field. Other American League honorees included Tanner Bibee of the Cleveland Guardians as pitcher, Dillon Dingler of the Detroit Tigers at catcher, Christian Walker of the Houston Astros at first base, Cole Young of the Seattle Mariners at second base, Taylor Walls of the Tampa Bay Rays at shortstop, Cody Bellinger of the New York Yankees in left field, and Ezequiel Duran of the Texas Rangers as the utility player.

The Arizona Diamondbacks matched the Red Sox with three winners in the National League: catcher Gabriel Moreno, shortstop Geraldo Perdomo, and right fielder Corbin Carroll. Rounding out the National League roster were Nolan McLean of the New York Mets as pitcher, Matt Olson of the Atlanta Braves at first base, Brice Turang of the Milwaukee Brewers at second base, Alex Bregman of the Chicago Cubs at third base, Jackson Chourio of the Milwaukee Brewers in left field, Pete Crow-Armstrong of the Chicago Cubs in center field, and Mauricio Dubón of the Atlanta Braves as the utility player.

This year's list featured nine first-time winners, maintaining a trend of defensive turnover similar to the previous season. Among the historic milestones, Nolan McLean of the New York Mets made history by becoming the first rookie pitcher to ever win a Gold Glove Award.

Additionally, Gabriel Moreno joined Hall of Famer Joe Mauer as the only catchers to capture both a Gold Glove and a batting title in the exact same season. Meanwhile, veterans Christian Walker and Matt Olson extended their impressive careers by earning their fourth career Gold Gloves.

With the positional winners now officially revealed, voting for the Rawlings Platinum Glove Award opened immediately and runs through November 5. The Platinum Glove winners will be formally unveiled at the annual Rawlings Gold Glove Award Ceremony in New York City on November 6.
