LEGO Prepares for Black Friday 2026 with Godzilla Release and Early Deals
The LEGO Group has announced its annual Black Friday exclusive set alongside upcoming holiday sales and early promotions from major retailers.
The LEGO Group has officially detailed its plans for the upcoming holiday shopping season, featuring a massive new adult-targeted release and scheduled promotional events for late November 2026. Official LEGO Black Friday deals and new set releases will run from November 27 through November 30, overlapping with Cyber Monday. Ahead of the main event, the LEGO Insiders Weekend is scheduled for November 21 and 22, though rumors suggest members-only sales might run from November 21 to 26.
The centerpiece of this year's Black Friday lineup is the release of LEGO Ideas 21375 Godzilla. Based on the Legendary Monsterverse adaptation, the colossal model stands 70 centimeters tall, comprises 5,363 pieces, and will retail for $449.99 in the US, £349.99 in the UK, and from €399.99 in Europe. The set is scheduled to launch on November 27.
Shoppers purchasing the new Godzilla set during its initial release window will receive an exclusive gift-with-purchase item, designated as 40888 Godzilla Logo & Footprint. The promotional companion set features the monster's right foot fitting into an imprint, accompanied by a rotatable logo set against a backdrop of ruined buildings and a printed butterfly honoring Mothra.
The tradition of releasing large, adult-oriented centerpiece sets on Black Friday has been a staple for the company since 2019. Past releases have included the 1989 Batmobile, the Colosseum, the Star Wars UCS AT-AT, the Eiffel Tower, the Avengers Tower, the polar ship Endurance, and the 2025 Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D.
While direct promotional details and discounts from the LEGO Group have not been fully disclosed in advance, previous years have featured deep price cuts on retiring high-profile sets, such as the Lion Knights' Castle. However, high demand and early sell-outs of retiring sets could mean a more limited selection of official direct discounts this year.
Outside of official LEGO channels, early holiday discounts and price drops are already live at various third-party retailers. Stores including Amazon, Very, and Scheels have started rolling out early price reductions on recent releases and seasonal items, such as a selection of 2026 LEGO Advent calendars receiving discounts of 20 percent or more off their list prices.
Shoppers looking to maximize their purchases during the late November events will need to weigh the timing of the Insiders Weekend against the official Black Friday rollout. While the Insiders Weekend traditionally offers double points alongside existing gifts-with-purchase, the precise promotional thresholds and remaining inventory for major sets will determine overall consumer savings as the holiday shopping season accelerates.
