Laeticia Hallyday Relocates to Miami with Her Youngest Daughter

Laeticia Hallyday has chosen Miami as her new primary residence, renting an upscale apartment with an Atlantic view in a chic neighborhood. She is accompanied by her 18-year-old daughter, Joy, who is set to spend a gap year alongside her mother after completing her secondary education.

This significant change of address comes roughly 3,800 kilometers away from Los Angeles, where Hallyday had lacked a permanent home since a January 2025 fire destroyed her Pacific Palisades villa. In the wake of that disaster, which she described as losing a sanctuary that held her dreams and secrets, she had been staying temporarily in Malibu at a property owned by her daughters.

The decision to move to Florida offers several practical advantages for Hallyday, who frequently travels between the United States, France, and the Caribbean. Miami provides significantly easier access to Saint-Barthélemy, where Johnny Hallyday is buried and where she regularly stays, compared to traveling from the West Coast.

Additionally, relocating to Florida reduces the flight time to Paris by about two hours and features a lower overall cost of living than Los Angeles. Furthermore, the move represents a return to a familiar city for Hallyday, who spent part of her adolescence in Miami when her father moved there for business, and where she first met Johnny Hallyday at age 20.

While Joy spends her gap year in Florida, her older sister, Jade, continues her artistic studies dividing her time between Los Angeles and Paris. Meanwhile, Hallyday recently traveled to Paris to meet with record labels and producers to potentially support Joy's budding singing career.

Beyond family matters, Hallyday is advancing her professional ambitions. She is searching for a writer to help craft her memoirs and is developing a musical dedicated to Johnny Hallyday, which is anticipated to premiere on the tenth anniversary of his passing on December 5, 2027.

As for her former property in Pacific Palisades, Hallyday is still waiting for insurance resolutions before deciding whether to sell the plot or rebuild. Her recent move marks a fresh chapter following a period that included the loss of her California residence and her separation over the summer.
