Mexican actor Pablo Lyle is expected to obtain early release from a Miami prison on December 29, 2026, after serving a significant portion of his sentence. While the anticipated freedom brings hope for a reunion with his children and relatives, reports indicate that his situation upon release might involve being transferred to another detention center for reasons not yet fully detailed.

Lyle has been behind bars for more than seven years following an arrest in March 2019. The legal trouble originated from a traffic incident in Miami where the actor punched Juan Ricardo Hernández, a 63-year-old man who passed away days after the altercation.

Following a lengthy judicial process marked by pandemic-related delays, a court found Lyle guilty of involuntary manslaughter in January 2022. The judge handed down a sentence of five years in prison followed by eight years of probation, a decision that launched a difficult chapter for the actor and his family.

Significant changes have unfolded within Lyle's family since his arrest. When the incident occurred, his children, Arantza and Mauro, were eight and four years old, respectively. Over the years, the children have stayed in touch with their father through emails, photographs, and video calls, while Mauro, now 12, has even visited his father alone in prison.

The actor's personal life also underwent major shifts during his incarceration. Ana Araujo, Lyle's former wife, revealed in 2023 that their divorce process, which had been paused to confront the initial legal crisis, was finalized that same year. Araujo later publicized a relationship with photographer and stylist Marco Lavín, who provides daily support for the teenagers.

Amid the ongoing confinement, Lyle experienced a profound personal loss when his father, Jorge Cristian Lyle Pérez, passed away in June 2026. Because of his imprisonment, the actor could not attend the funeral, forcing him to experience the grieving process from a distance.

As December approaches, expectations remain high for the actor's release for good behavior. Even upon gaining his freedom, Lyle must still complete the eight years of probation ordered in his original sentence, keeping him under legal supervision as he attempts to begin a new chapter with his loved ones.
