Italian clubs experienced a challenging night in European competition, picking up a single point across UEFA Europa League action. While Juventus managed to salvage a 2-2 draw at home against French side Rennes, AC Milan suffered a clear 3-0 defeat away to English club Bournemouth.

In Turin, Juventus opened the scoring early when Celik found the back of the net in the fifth minute. However, Rennes responded quickly, equalizing through Al-Taamari at the fifteen-minute mark and taking the lead before halftime thanks to a penalty converted by Dia in the forty-third minute.

Trailing at the break, Juventus pushed forward in the second half and leveled the score when Nick Woltemade successfully converted a penalty kick in the sixty-seventh minute. The Bianconeri thought they had secured a late victory in the eighty-eighth minute, but Lucumi's goal was overturned following a VAR review for offside, leaving the final score at 2-2.

AC Milan endured an even tougher outing in England, falling 3-0 to Bournemouth in a match dominated by set pieces. The Cherries took an early lead in the eighth minute when Justin Kluivert converted a penalty kick after a handball by De Winter inside the area.

The turning point of the match occurred in the twenty-eighth minute when Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan was shown a red card for pushing Adams in the face during a corner kick. Young substitute goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani stepped in, but Tavernier immediately converted the resulting penalty to double Bournemouth's lead.

Despite being a man down, Milan struggled to mount an offensive response and failed to record a single shot on target during the match. Bournemouth sealed their 3-0 victory late in the game when Adli scored directly from a free kick in the eighty-fourth minute.

With these results, Bournemouth maintains its position at the top of the league phase standings with a perfect record, alongside other top sides like Benfica, Bayer Leverkusen, Ferencvaros, and Olympiacos. Meanwhile, Juventus and Milan continue their European campaigns looking to improve their standings in upcoming fixtures.
