The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has officially released the results for the Chartered Accountant Intermediate September 2026 examinations. Candidates who appeared for the tests can now access their scorecards and review their qualifying status directly through the portal at caresults.icai.org or icai.nic.in.

According to the official data provided by the examination authority, a total of 160,887 candidates participated in the September 2026 session. The examinations were conducted offline using a pen-and-paper format across 583 test centers nationwide, spanning multiple dates in early September for both Group I and Group II papers.

This year's examinations witnessed a shared top rank at the national level. Neel Rajesh Shah and Sakshi Chandak both secured All India Rank 1, achieving top scores in the session. Following closely behind, Shruti V from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, claimed All India Rank 2 with 492 marks out of 600, while Prem Agarwal from Surat, Gujarat, secured All India Rank 3 with a score of 490 out of 600.

The institute also published detailed statistics concerning candidate performance across the different examination groups. For the Group I papers, where 100,301 candidates appeared, 23,210 successfully passed, translating to a pass percentage of 23.14 percent. Meanwhile, the Group II examinations saw 68,400 participants, with 12,938 candidates clearing the papers, resulting in an 18.92 percent pass rate.

For candidates who attempted both groups simultaneously, 38,339 individuals sat for the assessments, and 5,066 successfully cleared both sections, yielding an overall pass percentage of 13.21 percent for both groups combined. To successfully qualify in the CA Intermediate examination, students are required to secure a minimum of 40 percent marks in each individual subject alongside an aggregate of at least 50 percent in each respective group.

To download the official scorecards from the portal, examinees must input their designated ICAI roll number, registration number, and a security pin. The platform displays individual subject marks, overall aggregates, and qualification statuses for all participants who took the offline afternoon tests.

In addition to the result declaration, the examination authority announced that a verification window will soon be made available for students wishing to have their answer sheets rechecked for any potential calculation errors. Candidates seeking score verification will be required to submit an application through the online portal and pay a fee of 50 rupees per subject once the schedule is officially announced.
