Recent charity galas and award ceremonies have brought together community leaders, artists, and animal welfare advocates across the United States to raise funds and recognize significant contributions to various fields. From pet adoption fundraisers in New York City to business awards in Savannah, these events have highlighted philanthropy and community impact.

In New York City, the 2026 Fetch Pet Gala brought together industry leaders and celebrity guests at The Carlyle Hotel to raise more than $750,000. Hosted by Fetch Pet Insurance, the annual fundraiser supports four nonprofit organizations: Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Broadway Barks, Wags & Walks, and North Shore Animal League America. The event featured performances by Tony and Academy Award winners Bernadette Peters, Darren Criss, Ariana DeBose, and a surprise appearance by Cyndi Lauper.

Paul Guyardo, President and CEO of Fetch Pet Insurance, noted that the event's star power has helped raise over $1.2 million in just two years. As part of the festivities, adoptable dogs walked the green carpet wearing the SATELLAI Collar Go, an AI-powered pet wellbeing device. SATELLAI Founder and CEO Mark Mao stated that the partnership aimed to highlight the human-animal bond and support pets in need, with the company providing devices to families adopting dogs from North Shore Animal League America.

Also in New York City, the Rema Hort Mann Fund celebrated its 30th Anniversary Gala at Tribeca Rooftop, raising $1.5 million for its expanded three-pillar grant portfolio. The event brought together more than 300 art supporters, collectors, and advocates, and featured a benefit auction conducted in partnership with Phillips.

During the Rema Hort Mann Fund gala, interdisciplinary artist Jacolby Satterwhite was named the inaugural recipient of the newly created Artists Living with Cancer Grant. Satterwhite, a two-time survivor of bone cancer diagnosed at age 11, received a $25,000 special recognition grant presented by Courtney J. Martin, executive director of the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation. Reflecting on his health journey during the event, Satterwhite remarked, 'That gratitude remained with me, and my entire life became about being a bullet train of ambition to make a mark that feels immortal just in case it comes back again.'

The 30th-anniversary event also honored RHMF Founder Susan Hort with the Legacy Award, presented by her daughter, Dr. Shoshana Hort. Additionally, philanthropists George Wells and Manfred Rantner received the Philanthropic Leadership Award from artist Mickalene Thomas for their institutional patronage and early sponsorship of the cancer grant for artists.

Meanwhile, in Coastal Georgia, the Metropolitan Savannah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce prepared for its 10th annual Business and Community Awards Gala. Scheduled to take place at the Hyatt Regency Savannah ballroom, the event honors Hispanic businesses and their regional impact, bringing together business leaders, community partners, and elected officials to recognize lasting contributions to the area.
