Former Star Academy contestant Charles Doré recently reflected on his time in the reality television show and his subsequent career in the music industry. During a recent television appearance on CStar's program Flashback, the singer discussed his journey following his run as a semi-finalist on the popular program.

Looking back at his weeks inside the academy house, Doré admitted that his straightforward communication style occasionally created friction with other participants. Coming from the countryside, he explained that he tended to speak his mind bluntly when feeling unhappy, which sometimes led to strong arguments.

Among those tensions, Doré recalled a particularly heated dispute with fellow contestant Maurine that spiraled out of control. Despite the initial clashes driven by their sensitive personalities, he noted that the former classmates quickly resolved their differences and are now close friends.

The young artist also acknowledged that his unfiltered remarks prompted interventions from the show's production team. According to Doré, producers occasionally pulled him aside to advise him on how to phrase things, reminding him that certain expressions were inappropriate for broadcast.

Beyond the conflicts inside the house, Doré shared details about his romantic life, recounting how he met Emma, a dancer who previously worked with Kamel Ouali, during a television prime. After attempting to catch her attention with lighthearted antics, he asked show coordinators to secure her social media handle so he could connect with her after leaving the show.

To his surprise, the dancer made the first move and reached out to him first once he retrieved his phone. The singer noted that the two have been inseparable ever since they began communicating outside the television set.

On the professional front, Doré has focused on building his musical identity independently after releasing his first album. Embracing creative control through a smaller label, the artist expressed his desire to distance himself from the reality television label while still acknowledging the platform that launched his career.
