A tragic traffic accident occurred during the night between Thursday and Friday on County Road 1, situated between Malkwitz and Sieversdorf in the Ostholstein region. According to law enforcement reports, a passenger vehicle drifted off the road for reasons that remain under investigation and struck two trees.

Emergency responders, including local police officers, volunteer fire departments from Sieversdorf and Malkwitz, as well as medical personnel and an emergency physician, were dispatched to the scene. The driver sustained injuries of such severity that he was pronounced dead at the location.

Authorities identified the victim as a 37-year-old resident of Lübeck holding Kazakh citizenship. He was driving an Audi TT northbound on County Road 1 toward Sieversdorf shortly after midnight when the car veered to the left in a curve and crashed into the trees.

To determine the precise cause of the crash, the Lübeck public prosecutor's office ordered an accident reconstruction expert to examine the site during the night. County Road 1 was completely closed to traffic throughout the emergency response operations.

By approximately 5:30 in the morning, all measures were concluded, and the roadway was reopened for travel in both directions. Investigators reported that the Audi TT sustained total damage, with initial estimates placing the total property loss at approximately 10,000 euros.

Police investigations into the exact circumstances and underlying causes of the fatal collision are currently ongoing.
