Los Angeles Rams tight end Davis Allen delivered a strong performance during Sunday afternoon's matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, hauling in two touchdown catches in the first half to help build a 14-3 lead for his team with 10:01 remaining in the second quarter.

Entering Week 7, Allen faced a favorable statistical matchup against a Las Vegas pass defense that had struggled throughout the season. Prior to Sunday's kickoff, the Raiders defense ranked 25th in the NFL by conceding 237.3 passing yards per contest and 28th by allowing 2.2 passing touchdowns per game.

Despite having a modest statistical output earlier in the year—recording six catches for 63 receiving yards and zero touchdowns across his first six games of the season—Allen quickly capitalized on the Raiders' vulnerable defensive secondary.

His second touchdown grab capped an impressive 12-play, 80-yard offensive drive that consumed 5:50 off the game clock, extending the Rams' advantage to 14-3. Quarterback Matthew Stafford orchestrated the drive efficiently, starting the game strong by completing 12 of his first 14 pass attempts for 96 yards and two touchdowns.

The Rams' offense also found early contributions from wide receiver Puka Nacua, who tallied five catches for 45 yards in the opening frames. Meanwhile, the running game established momentum through the efforts of running backs Kyren Williams and Blake Corum.

Williams contributed 24 yards on four carries, and Corum added 14 yards on three carries as the Los Angeles offense averaged 5.6 yards per rushing attempt.

On the opposing side, the Raiders faced additional challenges during the first half when tight end Ian Thomas suffered a shoulder injury, leaving his return to the game questionable.
