Actor and comedian Daniel Alberto Bifulco, who gained widespread popularity for his work in Argentine television, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 56. Bifulco was best known to audiences for playing Jaimito in the popular Videomatch segment "Los Jaimitos," alongside colleagues Roberto Peña and Rodrigo "Vagoneta" Rodríguez.

Authorities and emergency services responded to his residence located on Franklin D. Roosevelt Street in the Villa Urquiza neighborhood of Buenos Aires. According to police reports, a call to the 911 emergency line was placed during the early morning hours by the artist's brother, who discovered that Bifulco was unconscious inside the apartment.

Upon arrival, paramedics from the SAME medical service confirmed the artist's death. Official reports noted that the body was found reclined without any visible signs of violence. The presiding magistrate ordered an investigation into the cause of death, prompting the deployment of the Criminalistics Unit to conduct standard forensic examinations.

While preliminary journalistic reports and colleagues suggested that the comedian may have suffered a heart attack, official confirmation regarding the exact cause of death is still pending the completion of forensic procedures and the release of the body to his family.

Bifulco achieved significant fame during the late 1990s and subsequent years through his comedic performances on the program hosted by Marcelo Tinelli. The iconic "Los Jaimitos" sketch featured three mischievous children who sang humorous, rhyming songs addressing current events with irony. Throughout his career, Bifulco also participated in various television programs including Showmatch, Gran Cuñado, Polémica en el bar, and Los Roldán, in addition to multiple theatrical productions in Buenos Aires and Mar del Plata.

The news of his passing deeply affected the artistic community, with numerous colleagues and friends expressing their sorrow on social media. Comedian Torry Palenzuela shared a heartfelt tribute, writing, "Dear Dani, I will remember you smiling. Farewell forever, friend and colleague. Thank you for your art, rest in peace." Another close colleague, Alfredo Silva, also dedicated emotional farewell messages to honor the late actor.
