Cinépolis Offers Discounts and Previews Across Latin America

The major theater chain introduces promotional pricing, mastercard discounts, and specialized screenings throughout the region.

Cinépolis, the largest movie theater chain in Mexico, has rolled out a variety of promotional ticketing options and partnerships designed to make cinema attendance more affordable for patrons. Among the offerings is a persistent 2-for-1 ticket promotion available through digital channels for customers paying with eligible Mastercard debit and credit cards issued in Mexico.

The Mastercard promotion is divided into specific tiers depending on the auditorium format. Traditional screen formats accept standard participating Mastercard debit and credit cards, while VIP auditorium redemptions require higher-tier Platinum or World Elite Mastercard credit cards. The promotion is subject to weekly limits and excludes specific screenings such as premieres, festival content, and select studio releases.

In addition to the Mastercard benefits, Cinépolis has introduced mid-week promotional pricing in Mexico, offering tickets for $45 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays across traditional, Pluus, Macro XE, and Junior formats without requiring a membership. Members of the free Club Cinépolis loyalty program also receive Tuesday 2-for-1 benefits and a birthday month discount.

Beyond promotional ticketing in Mexico, Cinépolis continues to expand its footprint through international partnerships and industry events. The company's Imperio location recently served as a venue for SANFIC Industria events, hosting high-profile presentations such as director Álex de la Iglesia and actor Benjamín Vicuña detailing their upcoming collaborative film project.

In other regional developments, Cinépolis has been integrated as a regional distributor partner on streaming platforms like Prime Video. Following recent expansions in countries such as Costa Rica, Peru, and Guatemala, viewers can access independent rental and purchase options featuring titles from major studios and regional distributors directly through digital applications.

Meanwhile, cinephiles across South America are also preparing for major seasonal releases, including early screenings of 'Godzilla Minus Zero' to celebrate Godzilla Day. Theater chains across Peru, including Cinépolis, have scheduled special preview screenings and commercial releases optimized for premium large formats.
