Cameron Norrie to Face Ben Shelton in Second Round at ATP Paris Masters

British tennis player Cameron Norrie is set to take on third-seeded American Ben Shelton in the second round of the ATP Paris Masters. The high-stakes match is scheduled for November 3, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time on the hard courts of the Paris La Défense Arena.

Norrie enters the contest fighting to secure his position inside the Top 50 of the rankings and defend valuable ranking points. Having put together a 22-23 record this season, Norrie advanced to this stage following a tough victory over Matteo Arnaldi. Bookmakers and analysts point to Shelton as the clear favorite, but Norrie's strong defensive game could pose a significant test.

Shelton approaches the encounter with a stellar 41-18 match record this year, including a 6-3 mark on indoor courts. Benefiting from a first-round bye, the American player enters the match well-rested and prepared to utilize his powerful serve and aggressive playing style to dictate the pace.

The upcoming fixture marks another chapter in the late-season tournaments as players make their final push. Last year at the Paris Masters, Norrie notably defeated Carlos Alcaraz in their opening match, a memory the Spanish star recalled when discussing his own history at the French tournament. Alcaraz mentioned facing Norrie during his press conference ahead of the 2026 event, reflecting on past difficulties at the venue.

British tennis has experienced a season of mixed fortunes across both tours. Earlier in the year, Norrie and his compatriots suffered a difficult campaign at the French Open, where no British singles player managed to advance past the second round. However, late-season surges from players like Harriet Dart, Katie Boulter, and Sonay Kartal have helped inject renewed positivity into British tennis as the 2026 season nears its conclusion.

For Norrie, overcoming Shelton will require maximum physical and mental commitment to counter the heavy firepower from the American side of the net. Tennis fans in the region can watch the match broadcast live on Polsat Sport or stream it via Polsat Box Go.
